What is the best diet or way to eat?
Diet & eating habits are very personal, thus can be different from one person to another. What works for someone else may not work for you!
Do NOT fell pressured to eat a certain way because someone said it is better, healthier, morally right, etc.
Eat food you like and food that fuels your body! Aim for Whole Foods, such as vegetables and fruit based foods. Be cautious (not strict) on your sugar and salt intake! Be mindful about refined carbs, and high sugary or fatty foods!
Most importantly, find food YOU enjoy that can serve you and your body well!
Are fresh fruits and veggies healthier than frozen?
Frozen fruits and veggies are not considered to be less “healthy” or nutritious than fresh. Some even believe the frozen products could be healthier than fresh. This is because frozen veggies/fruit are picked at the perfect ripeness. They are then frozen and kept frozen, thus kept at that perfect ripeness state. Fresh fruits are picked right before they reach that perfect standard because they continue to ripen as they are package & shipped. However, it is important to note that there is not much evidence behind this.
Either way, frozen green beans are likely to have the same nutrient content as fresh green beans. The important thing to take away here is that it is important for you to increase intake of fruits and vegetables in a way that is easier for you and your lifestyle, whether it be fresh or frozen, it is up to you.

Are organic foods more nutritious?
Organic does not necessarily mean healthier or more nutritious. Just like frozen vs. fresh fruit/veggies have the same nutrients, an organic product vs. regular have the same as well.
Organic simply means that product has been produced without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents. Some individuals could be sensitive to this chemicals, thus need to avoid non-organic products.
It is believed that these chemicals can build up in our system, leading to issues, however, with a healthy working liver, kidneys, and overall organ system, we naturally detoxify, thus rid the body of these chemicals. The chemicals used in non-organic produced are also FDA approved, meaning they are not harmful in small-moderate amounts.
However, I will note that there have been some studies that have found that organic produce may have more phytonutrients.
Phytonutrients are compounds naturally made in/produced by vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and legumes. Phytonutrients provide anti-inflammatory and antioxidants to the body. Phytonutrients are found in BOTH organic AND nonorganic foods. However, some studies have found more phytonutrients in organic produce vs. nonorganic.
Stress on a fruit or vegetables (organic or not) forces it to produce phytonutrients. Organic produce may have more phytonutrients because they are not coated or treated with “plant medicines” (fertilizers, pesticides, etc.) to protect them from stressors, forcing them to work harder, thus producing more phytonutrients.
So what to takeaway from this? Organic foods are great, IF it’s in your budget, but do not stress out that you are not choosing healthy foods just because they are not organic! If you are consuming organic foods, great! If you are consuming non-organic foods, this is also great! The important thing is to have a balanced diet with wholesome, nutritious, and most importantly delicious foods that you enjoy!:)
